The Perfect Storm--Part 1

The perfect storm consists of several things coming together at just the right time to make for an unusually large storm with unique features often producing catastrophic results.
I am entering my perfect storm for the next year and feel like I must share it with you so you can be aware and praying.

This time next year, July 29th - August 1st, the Oxford Church of Christ and my campus ministry Rebels for Christ will be hosting the National Campus Ministry Seminar on the Ole Miss campus!!!
This is truly exciting. It coincides with 50 years of campus ministry at Ole Miss thanks to vision of Doug Shields Senior...you guessed it...50 years ago. Campus ministers and their students from across the country will descend on Oxford. Local church members and students will be asked to serve like never before.

It is an exciting event to host but as you might expect, it comes with great responsibility. Much planning, preparing and praying must happen to pull this kind of event off.
Even now I am trying to find locations on campus to host the event and it's exciting just getting to know my campus even better. I'm meeting and talking with people on campus and getting to share that I'm a campus minister with Rebels for Christ.
