Reflections on culture, faith and the good news of Jesus as the kingdom of God comes to Oxford and Ole Miss. "For Christ's love compels us..." II Corinthians 5:14

A thankful list

Monday, November 22, 2004 Share: |

Just a few things that I've seen or heard or thought about that make me thankful.

1. The trees here are amazing. Yellow seems to be the most prevalent and brilliant color this year. It is a beautiful death in creation.
2. Family and family-in-law are 100% supportive of Tracey and I.
3. Our home is a wonderful refuge to come home to in the evening.
4. We have enough money to pay the bills.
5. We always have enough food.
6. I love my ministry and have an ever-deepening relationship with students, elders, and church family.
7. I have so much support for the campus ministry. So many people are ready to help and do.
8. There is unity in our church.
9. My wife is in good health overall.
10. My wife is so loving and adoring. I have never doubted her love and faithfulness.
11. On my best day, God cannot love me more. On my worst day, God cannot love me less.
12. My glimpse of Jesus is closer than it has ever been!

Love the list, Casey. I need to be more thankful for my family and friends and that I'm getting through school with relative ease.

I'm still in doubts over LST, but haven't ruled the idea out. (Mostly because I'm too scared to ask people for money.)

Casey-
I am thankful that you are in Oxford. I have seen so much growth in our campus ministry and I am so thankful!!! I was so excited when we had our regular attendance count on a holiday (busy) week. God is working in our campus ministry!!!!

I am thankful for the example that you and Tracey set in how to be lights in the world for Christ.
Thank you for all you do, for the passion you have for Christ and for your love for those who need to know Christ.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU ! THANK YOU!
